I’m beginning to forget
The peals of laugher
the smiles
The glint in the eyes
The tilting angles
Of the head.
I’m beginning to forget
The hands—clasping
One evening
And how you said
"How interesting!" —That too
I’m beginning to forget
Hurry back.
I’m beginning to forget
How to miss a person
As the facts consolidate
As I them can begin to recall clearly
I them
am beginning to forget.
